No More WoW

So, after multiple tries, I'm once again turning off my WoW account. There are several people I will miss playing the game with. However, this will open up so much more time for other things, including my family. Hopefully this will turn out for the best.

Alive!

Yay! I made it through the week of nothing but tests, tests, tests. I had a recital in Piano on Wednesday, an exam in Nutrition on Thursday and a recital on Friday in Guitar. So far a C in Nutrition and an A in Guitar. I think I also got an A or B in Piano but am unable to confirm so far.

I'm still working on my application packet for Nursing which is due in three or four weeks. *Almost Complete* I need to go and have my fingerprints done by the sheriff's office. Waiting on my shot records to appear in the mail at my house, update my shots with the school and Nursing center. Then I need to buy the two money orders for the school.

The physical was complete and I came out top notch (even though I'm overweight by 110 lbs). My TB/PPD test came out negative (yay). My psych evaluation was perfect too. Grades are yet to be processed, but I've got them submitted.

Lucky me, the day after I took my physical/psych/TB tests, I came down with the flu. Not sure which kind (probably standard), the doctor/nurses were unpleasant (though to be fair I did show up at the last minute *shrugs*). I have a dream of opening an after hours clinic, which will charge roughly twice what a normal clinic would, which sadly is less than the five to ten times charge you would pay at a hospital for an ER visit. I mean come on, how many times have you been sick during the day when the normal clinics are open?! We could perform as a normal clinic would and if it were serious we could always send to the hospital as needed.

Walgreens is open 24/6ish-7 why shouldn't a clinic be? It's not like you say, "okay now is an appropiate time for me to be sick so I can go to the normal clinic...

Anyways, I'm on my way... :-3 I'll try and keep you posted. Love you all.

Guitar Update

Today (well yesterday) we worked on playing "Margaritaville" and "Love Me Do". I think I have "Love Me Do" down. Can't wait for this Friday (another guitar test, woohoo). I have to play 12 bar blues by memory. *crosses fingers*

Short Stories Update

If you enjoy just totally random short stories.... I just posted a new one.
http://pallyman.blogspot.com

I got to looking at it and realized I tied it in with a previous story. Sadly I did not do it on purpose but *shrug*. I have such a weird writing style. I complained just today that stories are hard to come by and my imagination is disappearing and what do you know? Out of the blue, this came to me. Well at least I'm happy now. I hate getting a story in my head and then losing it because I couldn't put it down on some form of media. I hope you enjoy it!

Ta da!

So... life has come and gone. Sorry for the lack of posts. Clinical application came available on Friday the fourth, so all my time is on school and not much of anything else. I'm currently in piano/guitar/biology/nutrition M-F in the early morning. My work schedule was worked over and now I work (at night still) and only have Sunday/Mondays off. However, I am working with my boss to move to a four day work week if he can get all the kinks worked out. Then I would have Sunday-Tues off, which would be great. I still play World of Warcraft ocassionally, still stuck on my druid. We currently have a house guest staying with us this week, Ms. Kitty. She is leaving out Friday to return back to Borississippi. It has been nice having her visit though. More to come hopefully in more posts rather than once a month or year...

5 Years!

Today (June 26th, 2009) marked me and my wife’s 5th anniversary. It is amazing that we have been together now for that long. I can certainly say that it has not been easy; there have been many fights along the way. Almost always over the silliest things, yet our love for one another has grown stronger because of it. I’ve looked back over how we met and where we came from and it just amazes me. I’m so very lucky to have such a beautiful, loving wife. I can say that I have been truly blessed.

Sorta same old...

We now have a white kitten and his name is Sabastion. Soon he will be fully vaccinated and neutered. I got into an argument the other day with someone over the kitten. People try and say that declawing a cat/kitten is inhumane and to some extent I could agree. But, how in the blue blazes can you say declawing is inhumane and spaying/neutering isn't?! I mean, come on, if I had to have a choice between the two... Remove those nails baby, long as I still have my satisfaction. ANYWAYS...

We also obtained a King size bed and have placed it in my office for future guests. My office was rearranged (again) to accomodate the new item. Now we just need to find a nice yet cheap bookcase for all the books I'm about to acquire or have acquired. Money has been pretty tight (as usual) budgeting seems to be working to an extent. There are things I would love to buy, however, I know I need to be saving for the unexpected. Money from college will be coming in a couple of months so that will help. I'm currently owing 8 or 9 thousand currently in student loans (yay?). I imagine when all is done it'll be 30 to 40 thousand... >.< *sighs* Oh well at least then I'll be in a profession working my keep and doing something I enjoy. I'm rather excited for this semester, my current classes are guitar, piano, Biology, and Nutrition.

I have heard that dealing with music can help the concentration level of a student. I can only hope.

Learn something new...

Today was pretty eventful, for me at least. I was woken up around 10ish to take the kids and wife out to the dollar store for craft stuff, then we went to Burger King. However, by the time we got there the kids had passed out. So... we opted for the drive through, I got a steakburger (it was meh...) the wife got her usual. We took the kids home and put them to their respective beds.

We settled down and played a little world of warcraft while the house was quiet. It wasn't long before we both noticed there had been no sign of the new kitty. After an extensive search of the house (probably 15 to 20 minutes of searching), we found him curled up sleeping under Kayley's bed. He's not too much for being woke up either. I got out one of his new toys we got him (a fish with streamers on a stick) and proceeded to play with him. After two minutes he had managed to snap the rod out of my hand, I say snapped as in the rod broke in half because of the tension of him refusing to let go. He still enjoys it regardless, however I have plans to attach it to a fan somewhere and let him chase it like that. (^.^)

I got a nice hour long nap before work. Though right now as I write this I wish I had more sleep. The bed seemed extra comfy today. Work is pretty much work at the moment.

On a side note, Kayley seems to be throwing more tantrums than usual.

New Addition

Today (Yesterday) was pretty horrific. I was woken up too early to answer the phone for “unknown caller”. I was my usually grouchy self especially when I got to the phone and no one was on the other line. *grumble* I could not for the life of me get back to sleep. So I stumbled sleepily to my office to take care of the dailies. Read comics (check), look up information for the upcoming school year (check), see how much money is in the accounts (check), bills need to be paid? (yes), argh I don’t wanna… (paid bills, check). I logged onto World of Warcraft for a little bit, did my thing there.

I don’t remember exactly how it happened (lack of sleep, remember?). But, I got to looking at cats. Oh yeah that’s right, Jenny was asking about getting a kitten from someone (ugh, kittens). I ended up looking here at LA Paw and found they offered adoption which includes spay/neuter plus up to date vaccinations. And who can argue with that?

Anyways to make a long story short, we got a cute, fluffy kitten (unnamed at the moment). It is all white except for his pink ears and small tuft of grey on his head. His eyes are a mix of blue and green. I picked him out and Kayley really liked him as well. He’ll have to grow on the wifey because she picked out a black one with grey stripes (we didn’t get, yet). Trying to remember when I get off this morning to pick up a new litter box and new litter. Enjoy!

Welcome to our Nest

My wife asked me why I didn't have a personal blog to update so she could keep up with what I was thinking. So here it is woman! Are you happy now?! Hehe, that'll get me a slap on the head. Anyways, welcome, I'll try to keep a somewhat daily routine going here. Keep my folks, my little tiny (I joke) baby sisters, and anyone else interested in what I say or have to say involved.
